Afternoon - USDA ESTIMATED BOXED BEEF CUT-OUT VALUES - as of 1:30pm

Based on negotiated prices and volume of boxed beef cuts delivered within 0-21
days and on average industry cutting yields.  Values reflect U.S. dollars per
100 pounds.

Boxed beef cutout values higher on Choice and steady on Select on light to
moderate demand and offerings. Select and Choice rib, round, and loin cuts 
steady while chuck cuts firm to higher. Beef trimmings firm on moderate to 
fairly good demand and heavy offerings.

ago. Chick placement for the week ending 09/17 - 178 million, up 2% from a 
year ago.

09/27 - New York Daily Eggs
Prices are 1 cent lower for Extra Large and Large, steady for Medium. Trade
sentiment is steady to lower. Supplies are moderate to heavy for larger sizes,
usually moderate for Mediums. The New York shell egg inventory is 7% higher
than last week. Offerings are moderate. Demand is light to moderate. Market
activity is mostly slow to moderate.
