NATIONAL DAILY BOXED BEEF CUTOUT AND BOXED BEEF CUTS - Negotiated Sales -
Afternoon - USDA ESTIMATED BOXED BEEF CUT-OUT VALUES - as of 1:30pm

Based on negotiated prices and volume of boxed beef cuts delivered within 0-21
days and on average industry cutting yields.  Values reflect U.S. dollars per
100 pounds.

Boxed beef cutout values lower on Choice and steady on Select on light to
moderate demand and offerings. Select and Choice rib and round cuts mostly 
steady. Choice chuck and loin cuts weak to lower while Select steady. Beef
trimmings sharply lower on light demand and moderate offerings.

Prices are 2 cents higher on Medium, unchanged on the balance of sizes. The
undertone is steady to full steady. Supplies are moderate to heavy. Offerings
are generally moderate. Demand is light to moderate. Market activity is slow to
moderate.
