NATIONAL DAILY BOXED BEEF CUTOUT AND BOXED BEEF CUTS - Negotiated Sales -
Afternoon - USDA ESTIMATED BOXED BEEF CUT-OUT VALUES - as of 1:30pm

Based on negotiated prices and volume of boxed beef cuts delivered within 0-21
days and on average industry cutting yields.  Values reflect U.S. dollars per
100 pounds.

Boxed beef cutout values higher on moderate demand and light to moderate 
offerings. Select and Choice rib and round cuts steady while chuck and loin 
cuts firm to higher. Beef trimmings weak on moderate demand and moderate to 
heavy offerings.

Weekly Egg Sets for the week ending 03/28 - 217 million, up 3% from eggs sets a 
year ago. Chick placement week ended 03/28- 174 million, up 1% from a year ago.

04/01 - New York Daily Eggs
Prices are 12 cents lower on Extra Large, Large and Medium. The undertone is 
lower. Supplies are moderate to heavy for trade needs. Offerings are moderate. 
Retail and distributive demand is light to moderate. Market activity is slow.
